On Tuesday night Ridge had his first accident. So sad. I was at work, (yes, my ten hour a week job) and Zachary was golfing. So Uncle Doug was babysitting. Ridge somehow fell down Doug's back porch stairs and all of a sudden Doug heard a blood curdling scream/yelp. He had never heard anything like it. He looked outside and Ridge was laying at the bottom of the stairs in complete pain!!! Doug picked him up and brought him inside. Ridge could barely walk and when he did, he would fall down and cry. He wasn't sure if his leg was broken or what, but he said that Ridge seemed like he was in so much pain. He tried calling me, but thanks to my workplace, I have zero service and my phone dies = Douglas not being able to get a hold of me. Thank goodness for Doug's great neighbor who came right over to help Doug and took him to the Emergency Vet Hospital. Three hours later... (I still had no idea this had even happened) it was determined that Ridge had dislocated his right front leg!! So sad! He was in so much pain and I wasn't even there for it! When I got off and was able to turn my phone on, I got a text from Doug that was pretty urgent. I called him thinking that something was wrong with Zachary but no, it was my poor little baby Rigga! I raced to Douglas' house to find Ridge just completely out of it. He had to be drugged so they could pop his leg back into place. Again, I wasn't even there for it! But thank goodness for Douglas and his great neighbor. I feel so awful that I wasn't there for his first major incident but I am so grateful he was in such great hands. Is it embarrassing that I wanted to cry when I saw him?? I seriously did. I don't care what you say, he is my baby and I treat him as so. He can't be around any other dogs or do any type of play for a WEEK!! Oh my poor poor little Ridgey baby. It is so sad to see him so helpless. He is a very PLAYFUL dog and seeing him down like this is literally heartbreaking. You better believe it though, in a week, Ridge will be SOOO excited to play with his friends again.
I love you Rigga!!!

You had every single right to cry! I told Zach that it probably felt like it would if Hayden had done it! That little guy is your baby and it's wonderful that you love him so much. Good replacement from Titty I'd say. . . :) Love you!
aww that is sad! I took my dog to the vet today for her allergies that have gotten out of control, found out she has a yeast infection in her ears to go along with all of the itching, poor thing. I hope he is feeling better:)
